The Frida

Ok, so I'm doing a Frida skull. Everything went fine..until I tried adding "hair". That just screwed up everything!!! Nixed the hair idea, and went with flowers on her head. Thankfully I already had the holes pre-drilled. I'm sure she'll look just fine.

Off to Roswell this weekend, short trip but greately needed. I need to just sleep for a few days, sleep and eat.

Guess I'm going to try to do a Live Journal, and something called MyOpera.com, for sales. Can't hurt to try.

I now have 4 paying orders, pretty good for just having a few in inventory.

Late Late late

Why is it..that at times, I feel an overwhelming sense of dread? Like I"m going to get sick again...or an accident...or a stroke..I dunno.

Leaving for Roswell on Friday am.. nice long weekend. Kathy & Carol want a skull...even offered to pay for it. Of course I won't charge them..they're family!

Oh well.

Crapola...I'm just stupid

Either I'm just stupid, or the instructions to add things on the blog just aren't clear enough. I thought I was pretty computer savy, I mean hell, I worked for an IRC chat server for 6 years~!

Well, at least I filled out the profile, and hopefully someone...ANYONE, will comment. I'm just a sad lil lady :>(

Tired, that's my normal state of being. Drove friend all over..to help her with shopping..she's got a broken foot..had fun...went to lunch. Get home...kidlets are texting me like mad!! Just don't want to deal..because it's stupid things.

Still trying to figure out this blog thing. Would like to have someone else see it, and tell me how to improve it. Not sure how to add multiple pictures . Not sure how to do that. Oh well, maybe write more later.

On a sunday afternoon

As I sit here... watching a chat room discussion (fight) about politics, thinking...are these people so uninformed as to what they're saying? *sigh* Oh well.

Worked on the site a bit..found some new places to post/Stores. Need to get hard copy pictures and some type of portfolio...I know we have something at work. Tomorrow will be a long day. Helping a friend who is injured do her shopping.

Still trying to figure out the best way to market my pieces, withoug violating any TOS on the net. I don't want to fork out the huge amount of money for my own personal website. I'm not making a profit at the moment.

Not sure how to get people here to read my blog.. I'm so inept at this stuff.

Celebrating Dia de los Muertos.... Si Muertos Calaveras!!

Today is the first day...of the rest of my life?

Gods I hope not! I needed an outlet to show my pictures, whine about my work...promote it maybe, and just have someone else other than the husband and my friends....tell me they like my work.

I first started making calaveras about 3 months ago, mainly to satisfy my need for Dia de los Muertos items for my own personal altars for the holiday season.

Friends at work saw them..thought they were cute. A co-worker wanted me to make her 2..for her wedding table...in exchange..she's designing a logo for me. And now..I have 2 paying orders... not too bad for 3 months

So lets hope that this might be a sucessful journey for myself and my family. Who knows... 10 years from now..I might be a 'famous' NOT artist..lol!
