Been awhile

Well, I've been gone awhile, but back to ramp up the business. After a bullshit event, that folded out from underneath me for NO reason, I've decided to devote more time to online pursuits to promote Si Muertos Calaveras.

Going to hit the other blogs on Google and blog.com, see if I can generate some business or at least interests.

Lets hope this works.

Frida is making her debut!!!

Here is my Dia de los Muertos tribute to Frida Kahlo. She took me awhile to create her, as I wasn't sure what to do. She's technically my 3rd skull I've created. I think she turned out rather nice for an amateure.

Things are going well. I have a total of 4 orders from friends I know from chat. Hell, I don't care where I sell these, I just want people to enjoy them, and possibly learn a little more about the wonderful gift that is El Dia de los Muertos.

So if this blog gets out there, I'd love some feedback. My confidence is growing slowly and surely......but it's not 100%.

Oh..and Frida is for sale!!! She's $25 plus actual shipping. The flowers can be changed out to fit your preference.

Things have gone to shit.

After getting home from Roswell, we noticed our Dog Rico, wasn't feeling well. Hell, he wasn't feeling at all, just laid on the couch and slept. So we got an appt for the vet.

Vet checked him over, did blood tests, come to find out..My standard Poodle, has Addisons Disease (underactive Adrenal gland)

Poor Rico was so sick..I can't even explain it well enough..lets just say..he looked like he was dying in front of us.

So we do research on Addisons. Prognosis is great, one drawback, Rico will be on medications for the rest of his life. One of the medications, cortisol replacement drug..is $100 a shot, and he needs that to begin with..every 25 days.

*sigh*.. I love Rico..and money is no object. Would be different if he was 15 yrs old..but he's only 3. So off to the vets we go. After just ONE shot..he's almost our Rico Man again!

It's been a long and stressful week, but with a few good spots. Another order for a skull via Craigs List. I'm very busy with the skulls, getting the information out there. Hopefully by this time next year, things will be greatly different.

Roswell for some Rest

Leaving in the morning for Roswell, thankfully! I need a few days away from the computer and all the other hassles in life.

I got a great response for my skulls... from Aubrie! Everyone at work loved them, even got a new order from Margaret, for her daughter's sorority. That might lead to more orders after Christmas. Looks like I need to make up some more business cards, as people will see the skulls at Aubrie and Jeremy's wedding in October.

I'll need to call Kelly and order at least 10 more skulls poured, probably just order them when I pick up the previous 6. See if she'll give me a discount on quanity. Hell, I'm keeping her in business just on these skulls. Might try one big one, not sure yet. Not sure about the punk one, have ideas but not sure yet.
